A delivery receipt should accompany new vehicles when they are received.  This receipt has space to note any damages found by the employee inspecting the vehicles and any options that were ordered, but not received.  The transport driver must sign all the receipts where notations were made.  It is essential that these receipts be properly completed otherwise transportation claims will not be honored.

Stock numbers* should be assigned in sequential order to the vehicles at the time of delivery. The assigned stock numbers should be noted on the delivery receipts.  These receipts may be appropriately filed by stock number order or in the car deal envelope.
