Used Vehicle Appraisal Report

Administrative Controls
When a used vehicle is taken in on trade, the used vehicle sales manager or a designated appraiser should appraise the vehicle. All information on the used vehicle should be written on a used vehicle appraisal form. This form should be prepared in duplicate; the original should be retained in the Used Vehicle Department and the copy given to the salesperson. If a sale is not made, the salesperson’s copy should be used for customer follow-up work.
It is important all of the information on this form be completed so in the event the vehicle is taken in trade, it can be accurately checked. The amount noted on this form for estimated reconditioning should be checked against the actual cost of reconditioning so the accuracy of the appraisal can be determined.
